What We BelieveOur church accepts the Bible as sole and sufficient rule of faith and practice in all matters of doctrine and policy, and believes that the mandates of the Scriptures are authoritative and binding. The members of the church are all equal in rank, right and privilege. Pastor, Deacons and all other officers are simply servants of the Lord and of the people. No individual or group has authority whatsoever over the local Baptist church. The church is an independent, democratic body responsible to Jesus Christ.
Therefore, united by the grace of God in Christian experience and doctrinal belief, the members of this church recognize and receive Jesus Christ as Supreme Lord and Lawgiver and the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, and agree to accept it as their only rule of faith and practice. We declare our adherence to the doctrines and teachings of the New Testament and recognize no obligation of religion or of conscience unless contained therein. We quote our purpose to be as follows: We exist to glorify God through our worship and to show the love of God by shining His light into a dark world.
